Editor settings

The Settings icon at the bottom of the icon rail opens a full-screen settings area with its own sidebar, separate from the gear menu in the top bar. This page covers the general sections; AI provider keys and the keyboard shortcut editor each have their own dedicated page.

Quick overview

  1. Click Settings at the bottom of the icon rail.
  2. Pick a section from the sidebar: Profile, AI Settings, Knowledge Base, Version History, Keyboard Manager, Preferences, Upload Queue, About, Radial Menu, or Support.
  3. Fill in a section's fields and save, if it has a save button; toggles and selects apply immediately.
  4. Press Escape, or the close button, to leave Settings.

Profile

A single identity record, used to fill in contact and social presets from Text and typography and in bulk export.

GroupFields
PersonalName, job title, company
ContactEmail, phone, website, address
Social mediaLinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook

There is only one profile; saving overwrites the previous values rather than creating a new one.

Preferences

Grouped into collapsible accordions.

GroupControls
Left Menu OrganizationShow or hide each icon-rail tab individually, plus Show All and Hide All
GeneralSound effects, skip startup wizard, save bulk-export images to the gallery
Trash Auto-CleanAutomatically empty the media trash after 1, 7, or 30 days
Danger ZoneClear All Cache, which wipes your profile, templates, and preferences and resets to a blank canvas
Page Group SleepEnable or disable putting inactive page groups to sleep, a smart mode, and a delay of 30 seconds to 5 minutes

Upload Queue

Controls how the Media library ingests files you upload.

SettingOptions
Concurrent uploads1 (sequential) up to 10, or unlimited
Rate limitUnlimited, or capped at 10 to 120 images per minute
Max file size2 to 50 MB
Max dimension400 to 2400 px, or unlimited (original size kept)
JPEG qualityA percentage slider
Show progress modalToggle the floating upload progress popup

Lower concurrency and a rate cap help on slower connections or rate-limited servers; raise both for fast local uploads.

Radial Menu

A compact arc-shaped menu of up to 10 shortcut slots you can summon anywhere on the canvas, useful for staying off the keyboard.

ModeShortcutBehavior
PinAlt+MToggles a persistent, draggable menu on screen
Quick showAlt+Shift+MShows the menu briefly at your cursor, then auto-dismisses

Assign which actions fill its slots from four categories: Panels (opening a rail tab), Tools (brush, pen variants, crop, remove background), Add (text, image, rectangle, circle, star), and Actions (share, duplicate, delete, layers panel, 3D preview, settings, board, comments, add comment).

About and Support

About shows the app name, version, and build credit. Support lists a website link and a support email address.

Where brand color and font kits live

Earlier versions kept a Brand Sets section here for saving reusable color palettes and fonts. That management now lives in the panel's Brand area outside the editor; Settings no longer has a Brand Sets entry. Any brand kit you have set up there can still be applied to templates from inside the editor, it is just no longer edited from this screen.

Step by step

Fill in your profile so contact presets and comments aren't anonymous

  1. Open Settings, then Profile.
  2. Expand the Personal, Contact, and Social Media accordions and fill in whichever fields are relevant.
  3. Click Save Profile. The button briefly confirms the save, and the values are now available to Text and typography contact presets, bulk export, and as the author name on new comments.

Hide rail tabs you don't use

  1. Open Settings, then Preferences, and expand Left Menu Organization.
  2. Toggle off any tab you never use; it disappears from the icon rail immediately. If that tab's flyout happened to be open, it closes.
  3. Use Show All or Hide All to reset the whole rail at once, rather than toggling every row by hand.

Set trash auto-clean and page-group sleep behavior

  1. Open Settings, then Preferences, and expand Trash Auto-Clean.
  2. Pick 1, 7, or 30 days; media you delete from the Media library is permanently removed once it has sat in trash longer than that.
  3. Expand Page Group Sleep to toggle sleep on or off, turn Smart Mode on or off, and pick a delay (30 seconds up to 5 minutes) before an inactive page group is put to sleep to save resources.

Tune the Upload Queue for your connection

  1. Open Settings, then Upload Queue.
  2. On a slow or rate-limited connection, lower Concurrent Uploads and set a Rate Limit; on a fast local upload, raise both or set them to unlimited.
  3. Adjust Max File Size, Max Dimension, and JPEG Quality to control how aggressively uploads are resized before they land in the library, and toggle the progress modal on or off.

Troubleshooting

Clear All Cache has no undo

It wipes this browser's saved profile, saved templates, sound/wizard preferences, and version history, then resets the canvas to a blank page immediately. Export anything worth keeping (templates as JSON, designs via their normal export) before using it.

Recording a shortcut blocks Escape from closing Settings

If you jump into the Keyboard Manager section and start recording a new shortcut, pressing Escape only cancels that recording; you'll need a second Escape, or the close button, to leave the Settings screen.

Quick-show radial menu disappears on its own

Alt+Shift+M shows the radial menu briefly at your cursor and auto-dismisses; if you want it to stay on screen while you work, use Alt+M to pin it instead.

Keyboard shortcuts

ShortcutAction
Alt+MPin or unpin the radial menu
Alt+Shift+MShow the radial menu briefly at the cursor
EscapeClose the Settings screen

Tips

Hide tabs you don't use

If a rail tab like Board or Charts never comes up in your work, hide it from Preferences > Left Menu Organization to shorten the rail and reduce clutter.

Clear All Cache is a last resort

It wipes your saved profile, templates, and preferences on this device, with no undo. Export anything worth keeping before using it.
