Icons

Two libraries cover different needs: a broad, searchable icon set for general use, and a dedicated library of social media and platform logos with its own color and size controls.

Quick overview

  1. Open the Icons tab (Alt+4).
  2. Browse the category cards, or search by name.
  3. Click an icon to insert it centered on the canvas.
  4. Recolor and resize it from the properties panel.
  5. For platform logos, switch to the social icon library, search or browse by category, then set a color and size before inserting.

Exact icon counts shift as the underlying set grows, but every category is searchable, so you are never stuck browsing. Each category card shows a live count and a preview drawn from the first icon in that category.

Search matches the icon's name and its category name, so a query like "wallet," "cloud," or "shield" turns up icons across categories in one flat grid. Clearing the search box, or clicking Back, returns you to the category cards. A query with no matches shows a plain "No icons found" message rather than an empty grid.

Inserting an icon

Icons come in as vector objects centered on the current canvas, so they stay crisp at any size and take color, resizing, and grouping like any other object.

Social icons

A separate library of platform and brand marks, organized into six categories with dedicated color and size controls at insertion time:

CommunicationTelegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Slack, and more

Set color and size before you click an icon; each insertion uses the current values. Every inserted icon can still be recolored individually afterward from the properties panel.

Step by step

  1. Open the Icons tab (Alt+4).
  2. Type a keyword into the search box, for example cloud. The grid flattens to every match across categories.
  3. Click the icon you want to drop it, centered, onto the canvas.
  4. With the icon selected, open the properties panel and set its fill color, for example #1E88E5, so it matches the rest of your design.

Browse a category and insert

  1. Open the Icons tab and click a category card, for example Charts & Data. The card's count tells you how many icons are inside.
  2. Scroll the drill-in grid; each cell shows the icon and its name.
  3. Click a cell to insert that icon.
  4. Click Back to return to the category cards and pick another set.

Insert a platform logo at a set color and size

  1. Switch to the social icon library.
  2. Set the color and size first (size runs 20-80 px, default 40, color defaults to white).
  3. Search or browse by category, then click the logo to insert it at those exact values.
  4. Repeat to drop several logos at the same size for an even row; recolor any one of them later from the properties panel.

Recolor after placing

The color and size you set in the social library only apply at the moment of insertion. To change an icon already on the canvas, select it and edit its fill in the properties panel.

Common tasks

  • Match an icon to your text color: select the icon, set its fill to the same value as your heading or accent color so it reads as part of the design.
  • Search by keyword: type into the search box; matching both icon names and category names, a broad word like "arrow" or "user" surfaces a whole family at once.
  • Get back to the categories: clear the search box or click Back to leave a drill-in view or a search result.
  • Place a row of social logos: set one size in the social library, then click each logo in turn so they all come in at the same scale.
  • Space out several icons: each icon lands centered on the canvas, so a new one drops on top of the last. Drag the first aside before inserting the next, then align them.
  • Save a recolored icon for reuse: right-click it and choose Save to My Shapes, see My shapes.

Troubleshooting

  • Search shows "No icons found." The query did not match any icon name or category name. Try a shorter or more general word, or the category name itself. Remember that brand and platform logos live in the social icon library, not the general set.
  • A platform logo is missing from the general search. Look in the dedicated social icon library. Instagram, GitHub, WhatsApp, and similar marks are only there.
  • An icon only takes one color. General icons are single-fill vectors, so they recolor as one flat shape; a multi-color icon is not something the fill control can produce.
  • A social icon came in the wrong color or size. Those values are read at insertion time. Set color and size before you click, or select the placed icon and change its fill in the properties panel.
  • New icons land on top of each other. Every icon inserts centered on the current canvas, so successive insertions stack. Move each one into place before adding the next, or select and reposition the pile afterward.

Tips

Check the social library for logos

If a platform logo does not turn up in the general icon search, look in the dedicated social icon library. Brand marks live there, not in the general set.

Recolor to match your palette

Every icon takes a single fill color. Match it to your text or accent color so it reads as part of the design rather than a sticker.
