Creator profiles and discovery

Alongside your private workspace there is a public creator network: a discover page for finding people, and a public profile page for each creator. Both are open pages, so anyone can browse them, signed in or not.

Quick overview

  1. Open the Discover page to search creators by name, handle, or profession.
  2. Visit a profile at its own address, /@handle.
  3. Follow or Connect, then browse the creator's works, AI styles, collections, services, and about section.
  4. On your own profile, open Edit profile (its own page, not a drawer) and manage follow and connection requests.

Detailed reference

Discovering creators

ElementWhat it does
SearchFilters by name, @handle, or profession as you type
Profession chipsNarrow the list to one profession at a time
SuggestionsA row of creators you do not already follow, shown until you start filtering
Creator gridA paginated grid with avatar, name, profession, bio, and follower count

The grid is ordered by follower count first, then by newest profile, and pages in batches of 24.

Four kinds of profile never appear in discovery, in suggestions, or in the sitemap: unlisted profiles, private profiles, profiles whose owner switched discoverability off, and profiles hidden by moderation. One rule decides all three listings, so they cannot disagree.

The profile page

Every profile has a banner, an avatar, a name and handle, and an optional bio, location, website, social links, and support links. A verified badge appears for verified creators.

TabWhat it holds
OverviewPinned work, a signal bar, and a short about card
WorksEverything the creator has shared, with search, filters, sort, and paging
AI StylesCommunity AI styles, shown only when the creator has published some
SkillsPublished AI skills, shown only when the creator has some
CollectionsSets the creator has grouped by hand
ServicesWhat the creator offers, and how to hire them
AnalyticsOwner-only: views, followers, works, and inquiries over time
AboutThe full story, expertise, tools, awards, clients, FAQ, and links

Tabs that depend on content (AI Styles, Skills) appear only when there is something in them, so a new profile is not a row of empty tabs.

Following, connecting, and privacy

ActionDetail
FollowOne-way. On a profile that requires approval it becomes a follow request the creator accepts or declines
ConnectA two-way request the other person accepts or declines
MuteOne-way and silent: you stop seeing their notifications, they are never told
BlockHides the profile from you and removes any follow or connection between you

You choose, per profile, who can reach you: who may follow (anyone, with approval, or connections only), who may connect, and who may send an inquiry. Those choices are enforced on the server, so a stale page or a saved form cannot get around them.

Services

A service carries a title, description, price, delivery time, packages, and add-ons. Visitors send an inquiry from the service card; you answer it from your inbox, where each inquiry moves through new, read, quoted, accepted, declined, or closed. Clients can leave a review once the work is done, and reviews are public on your profile.

Analytics

The owner-only Analytics tab has a Trend view (profile views, unique visitors, work views, follows, and inquiries over time, in day, week, or month buckets) and a Breakdown view (a donut over a dimension you pick). Both accept a date range, and the data is exportable as CSV.

Editing your profile

Edit profile opens its own page with a back button, not a drawer, so it has room and its own address. Work is grouped into horizontal tabs, each with its own vertical sections:

TabSections
IdentityBasics, Photo and banner, Short bio
PresenceLinks and socials, Support links, Location and hours
PortfolioPinned works, What is shown
AboutStory, Expertise and tools, Awards and clients, FAQ
PrivacyProfile visibility, Who can reach you, Blocked and muted

Each section saves on its own, and leaving with unsaved changes asks first. A completion meter tracks eight items: avatar, banner, display name, profession, bio, skills, a location or website, and a social account.

Profile visibility

VisibilityWho can see it
PublicListed in discovery and reachable by anyone
UnlistedReachable only by its direct link, hidden from discovery, search, and the sitemap
PrivateVisible only to you

A visitor landing on a private profile sees the same not-found page as an address that does not exist, so a private profile's existence is never revealed.

How to use it

Set up your public creator profile

  1. Go to your own profile at /@yourhandle and click Edit profile.
  2. On Identity, upload a banner and an avatar. Each goes through a crop step, and you can set the banner's focal point so the important part stays visible at every screen size.
  3. Fill in your display name, profession, skills, and bio. The completion meter tracks how full your profile is.
  4. On Privacy, set visibility to Public so you appear in discovery, and choose who may follow, connect, and send inquiries.

Browse other creators' work

  1. Open Discover. Type a name, @handle, or profession, or click a profession chip.
  2. Click a card to open the profile, then move through the tabs.
  3. Use Follow for a one-way follow, or Connect to send a two-way request. If you are signed out you are sent to sign in and returned to the same profile.

Offer a service and handle the work

  1. On your own profile, open Services and add one: title, description, price, delivery time, and any packages or add-ons.
  2. Visitors send you an inquiry from the card. New inquiries arrive in your inbox and as a notification.
  3. Move each inquiry through its states as you work, and ask for a review when you are done.

Keep your feed and your inbox clean

  1. Mute someone to stop seeing their notifications without telling them.
  2. Block someone to remove the relationship entirely and hide your profile from them.
  3. Manage both lists under Edit profile, Privacy, Blocked and muted.

Common tasks

  • Make your profile link-only: set visibility to Unlisted under Privacy.
  • Stay out of discovery while keeping a public profile: turn discoverability off under Privacy.
  • Require approval for new followers: set who can follow to approval, then accept or decline from your requests inbox.
  • Track how complete your profile is: the editor shows a percentage and a checklist of the eight items.
  • See how your profile performs: open the owner-only Analytics tab, switch between Trend and Breakdown, and export CSV.
  • Choose what the Overview tab leads with: pin works under Edit profile, Portfolio, Pinned works.

Troubleshooting

  • My profile is not in discovery. Discovery lists only public profiles with discoverability on. Unlisted, private, and opted-out profiles are hidden from the grid, from search, and from the sitemap.
  • A new profile ranks far down. The grid is sorted by follower count, so a brand-new profile appears near the end. Share your @handle directly.
  • A visitor says my private profile 404s. That is intentional: a private profile returns the not-found page for anyone but you, so its existence stays hidden.
  • The handle field says taken or invalid. A handle must be lowercase, start with a letter, and be 3 to 30 characters (letters, numbers, -, _). Handles also have a cooldown between changes, and the field tells you how long is left.
  • The inquiry button sends me to sign in. Sending an inquiry needs an account. You return to the same tab afterwards.
  • The Analytics tab is missing. It is owner-only, and it only appears on your own profile.
  • Someone cannot follow me. Check Privacy, Who can reach you: follow may be set to approval-only or to connections only.

Tips

Your handle is your public address

A profile lives at /@handle, so a short, memorable handle makes it easy to share and easy to find.

Sharing is still opt in

Having a public profile does not publish your work by itself; see Community for how sharing works.
